Nancy, I've never done anything so utterly wasteful and useless, but my sister-in-law bought my mother-in-law's maltese a Coach leather collar for Christmas last year. Think of all the homeless that could be fed by the stupid people that buy this stuff. Insanity!

How to train your dog to PLAY GOLF

1. Buy a cheap club (6 iron for example) at Dick Sports
2. Find/buy some cheap golf balls
3. Take 1 club, two golf balls and 1 dog to open field
4. Tell dog to SIT and STAY
5. Put ball down and address ball
6. Hit the golf ball
7. Because you have a smart dog, the chase is underway
8. Tell dog to COME HERE
9. Upon returning with ball in mouth, tell dog to DROP IT
10. Repeat until dog is exercised

If dog is playing games with you, he/she may trot off into open grass and drop the ball. This is why you need to balls. And do not give ball to dog until BM is done.

If dog does not come back with ball at first, I have no idea short of another ball to chase to get him/her to return.

Our dog has not learned how to deal with sand traps or water hazards but may get some experience in the future.

CAUTION: Make sure to tell dog to not swallow golf ball else Heimlich Maneuver is needed and who needs that
