Let the Good Times Roll
My good friend Jade told me earlier today that my dog Charlee smelled like a Bear. I explained to her that my dog is a swamp monster and will lie down in water and mud to cool herself off whenever she gets the chance, which is just about everyday. As if on cue, Charlee lay down on Jade's porch and showed us her stagnant pond under belly, where we could almost see the tadpoles. I assured her that Charlee was getting a bath TODAY and that she also had a date with the shedding blade because her stanky fur was flying all around the house.
A bit later on I had company over and the kids let the dog out. Not two minutes later, Miss Pond Scum comes home all proud of herself. I am alerted to a new horrid state of affairs by the sound of 3 and 4 year olds yelling..."EEWWWW who pooped!" and looked over to my dog only to find that Charlee had rolled in unidentified feces that were now covering her side, collar and scruff. If I were to guess, I would say cat poop, but the world will never know.
What is the worst thing your dog has ever rolled in?

Jennifer, I had to read that a few times. At first I thought your dog rolled on a Boxer dog. lol
My last dog loved all things dead and smelly. I have to say decomposing racoon was the worst and we scrambled to call the vet to learn if there was a rabies risk. Said racoon also came with maggots and fleas and ticks. We buried it once and resurfaced about a week later for another roll.

I had a Wolf/Dog, he would roll in everything nasty, but I think the worst was the time he found a container of rotten chicken livers that my neighbor tossed into the woods. Talk about disgusting! Had to bathe him four times. EWWWWWWW!

We took a vacation to Vermont one year and whenever we stopped paying attention to our spaniel mix Zoe for a second she would disappear for about 10 minutes and come back in a new Eu Du poop of the day. Cow manure, horse manure, , chicken, lam, goat, you name it. I think the worst was when she found the place they dumped all the barn poop after they mucked it becuse that was mixed with a really strong urine smell as well.
Of course the first time it happened it was late at night and we didn't know where the hose was and we had to take her in the cabin in the standing shower and use my shampoo.
EEEWWWWW! We joke and call that the poop vacation.

My younger dog, Snow, is a big "roller" The worse was a combination of duck poop and vomit....UGH!!!!
The older dog Chaplin is EXTREMELy fastidious.
If I offer him a treat with the hand that I used to pick up poop (using a plastic bag) he will REFUSE the treat.
Put that same treat in the other hand and he takes it - no problem! Funny guy, my ole block head!
