What's Up?
Greetings all.
I am back from visiting my parents in Florida and the warm sun has given me a healthy glow and a bit of much needed rejuvenation.
Of course I missed my dog and my clients dogs and can't wait to get back to working with them all. I have to wait until Thursday to see

Shaggy a Golden Doodle puppy.
To be totally honest, I prefer to share stories of green puppies and turning dog poo into a viable energy source, but with more and more dog blogs flooding the Internet daily, I realize that I need to continue to set my blog apart by staying focused on dog training, my stories and local interest.
With that in mind-
My next blog is a training piece about training the wild child. We all know at least one wild child. You know that dog who is most likely to knock down guests, pull your arm out of it's socket, drop out of training class, and end up in a shelter or relegated to a basement or yard. There is usually at least in one every class. I have been plugging at the Wild Child blog for some time along with How to break up a dog fight, and a feature on local business Ocean Omega Fish Oil. I have given myself a reasonable time frame to complete them all and you can expect to see less surf stories during the next few weeks, while I put the finishing touches on all three.
After that I am looking forward to featuring more places to take your dog and as well as featuring more local businesses.
For the past few weeks I have been categorizing all past blogs and in short order you will be able to easily search and access this blog.
Happy Belated birthday greetings to A Dog's Life and a sincere thanks for reading!
That year just flew by!
Thanks to Chris for Shaggy's great photo!

Jail break dog trainer captured
Read the story here.
I have been asking myself, what the hell could she have been thinking? What Mom leaves her kids to break out a convicted killer nearly 1/2 her age?

Trainer aids in jail break
Greetings from Florida! Wasn't going to blog from here, but I had time to read the newspaper this morning and couldn't resist sharing the story about a dog trainer in Kansas.
Here's a jail break we haven't seen before.

Take the stroll!
Last Valentine's Day I blogged Dogster.com's
Valentines Day picture party and the same goes for this year!
It is not too late to enter your dog in the stroll, or to kick back and surf through other people's beloved dogs in Valentines Holiday garb and heart encrusted digital frames.
Schmaltzy but cute!
No blogs for a while-I am going on vacation!
Hope this movie helps the rest of you get some much needed sunshine!

The waaaay cute Jingle Belle

Meet Jingle Belle!
She is by far my cutest client of the month! Belle's owners were kind enough to email photos of her.
Thought we could all use a moment to relax, sit back and drink in her cuteness. It didn't seem fair to keep her all to myself!
Belle is a long hair Chihuahua, but doesn't she look like a teeny Border Collie?
Yes she was a Christmas puppy for the 14 year old daughter in the home, who I must say takes great care of her and is a great owner!

New! Greenies Biscuit

With all the bad press that the Greenie Company has endured lately, it is no wonder they went back to the drawing board and came up with a new product.
Meet New Greenies Biscuit! A biscuit with the same tooth cleaning, fresh breathe smelling secret ingredient that turns dogs into little "Greenie junkies", only in a biscuit form to help for ease of digestion. Back in the beginning of all the dangerous Greenie broo-ha-ha lets remember that I recommended sprinkling the Greenie Teenie flakes on your dogs dinner, but I have to say, incorporating them in a biscuit is pretty genius.
Click here to link to Burt. He is the little Doxie that died from having a Greenie obstruction and his owners are suing Greenies in a highly publicized lawsuit.
Update:
>In honor of canine dental month, here is an article on why your dog's breath smells, written by a Vet.

Marley and The Smoking Canine.com
John Grogan, writer and best selling author of current best selling book and soon to be made movie Marley and Me, has used his column to poke fun at himself and author James Frey of A Million Little Pieces fame. As you probably know, Grogan chronicles his Labrador's misadventures and Frey, a former Oprah Book Club member has achieved notoriety for fabricating his life story.

A Woman's Best Friend by Erica Jong
"Man's best friend is also a woman's. A strong woman can accomplish anything with a loyal dog at her side. Men may come and go, but dogs walk (and sniff) on forever. Like men, dogs think with their noses. Unlike men, dogs are fiercely loyal. I could tell you the story of my life through the dogs I have loved. I could tell you the story of the losses in my life through their deaths. Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love and loyalty. They depart to teach us about loss. We try to replace them but never quite succeed. A new dog never replaces an old dog; it merely expands the heart. If you have loved many dogs, your heart is very big. Did I say merely? What dogs teach us is hardly mere."

Would you date your dog?
A recent AKC Survey has concluded that many people wish their human mates had many of the same qualities that their dog does.
Read the details here.
The same survey found that people's dogs can make or break a relationship.
Tell us something we don't already know!
I find my dogs best features to be the following:
trustworthy, loyal, honest, a great listener and unconditional love.
